If you’re not sure how you’ll do in a smaller space (or in a tiny home, resort, apartment, etc.), do a test run. Use Airbnb or Vrbo to rent a space similar to what you’re considering for at least a week. During that time, make note of what works (and especially what doesn’t) so you can make an educated decision before a permanent move.

4. Have you always dreamed of retiring to the beach or a golf community and want to get there in plenty of time to enjoy all it has to offer?
